Dashboard

The first screen after you sign in โ€” what needs attention today, what is running, what is out for bid and where the money is, filtered to what your role may see.

The Dashboard is where every role lands after signing in, and where the Zaptiz logo at the top left takes you back to. It answers four questions: what needs attention, what is running, what is out for bid, and what has been received.

Opening the bare address construction.zaptiz.com while signed in also brings you here; the public home page is only shown to people who are signed out.

What is on itโ€‹

PanelWhat it shows
Welcome, your nameThe heading, with What is running, what is out for bid, and where the money is.
Needs attentionProblems across your projects, most urgent first. See below.
KPI stripLive projects, Past their end date, and โ€” depending on your role โ€” Order book, Out for bid, Received and Unallocated.
Quotations lapsing within a fortnightSent quotations whose validity ends in the next 14 days, with lapsed on any already past. Shown only when there are some.
Projects โ€” N runningUp to eight running projects: Code, Project, Client, Status, Ends (red if late, revised if the end date was extended), and Contract and Budget if you may see money. All projects opens the full list.
Contracts lineHow many contracts are awarded or active, and their total value.

Needs attentionโ€‹

Each row is one problem on one project, with a coloured stripe for its severity โ€” critical, high, medium, low or info โ€” and a count when several things of the same kind are stuck. The kinds of thing it raises:

  • Budget โ€” a project forecast over budget.
  • Billing โ€” an RA bill submitted days ago and still uncertified.
  • Approvals โ€” requests or reports pending approval for over two days.
  • Change orders โ€” variations waiting for the client's approval.
  • Material โ€” approved material not yet ordered but needed soon.
  • Payments and Retention โ€” money overdue, or retention due for release.
  • Procurement โ€” purchase orders overdue for delivery.
  • Plant and Labour โ€” breakdowns, idle machines, unapproved muster rolls.
  • Contracts โ€” a project close to the end of its defect liability period.
  • Safety, Snags, Quality, Site diary โ€” open critical events, overdue snags, failed inspections with no rework, missing DPRs.

Click a row to open the screen where it gets fixed. Ask AI on a row puts the question to the Assistant. The list refreshes every few minutes; updated โ€ฆ ago shows when.

You only see items your role can act on or read. A Store Keeper is not shown budget overruns; a Site Engineer is not shown overdue payments. When the list is empty it says Nothing needs attention.

What each KPI countsโ€‹

KPICounts
Live projectsProjects in progress. The hint gives the total on file.
Past their end dateRunning projects past their end date (the revised one if extended) with no actual end recorded.
Order bookContract value of every project not completed or cancelled.
Out for bidValue of quotations in the Sent status, not counting revisions that were replaced. The hint gives how many.
ReceivedPayments received across all projects, leaving out bounced and cancelled ones.
UnallocatedMoney received but not yet matched to an invoice. Appears only when there is some.

Why your Dashboard looks differentโ€‹

The page is the same for everyone; the server removes what your role may not see.

  • Money. Without the financial permissions, the Order book KPI and the Contract and Budget columns disappear. A Site Engineer sees projects, dates and statuses only. See Roles and permissions.
  • Projects. A Company Admin sees every project. Everyone else sees only the projects they are on the team of.
  • Quotations and payments. Out for bid needs access to quotations; Received and Unallocated need access to payments.
tip

If the Projects panel says No projects yet and you expected some, you are probably not on any project team yet. Ask your project manager or Company Admin to add you on the project's Team page.
