Daily Briefing
A morning summary of your projects written for your role — headline numbers, yesterday on site, approvals waiting and a Needs Attention list — with an optional email.
The Daily Site Briefing reads every active project you can open (up to 15), as you, works out the numbers and ranks what needs you today. A Company Admin can have it emailed every morning.

Generate today's brief
- Open AI › Daily Briefing. The Today tab shows your latest brief.
- If there is none for today, click Generate today's brief. It shows Writing the brief… and usually takes under a minute.
- Read the headline and summary, then the key figures, the Needs attention list and the sections.
- Click any item to open the screen that fixes it, or Ask AI to ask the Assistant about it.
Regenerate writes a fresh brief. The History tab lists earlier briefs with Date, Headline, How (manual or scheduled), Status and Credits; click a date to open one.
What is in it
Key figures — only those your role can see: Active projects; Contract value, Cost to date, Forecast margin and Forecast margin % (if you can see project financials); Received, Outstanding and Overdue (if you can see invoices); Workers on site yesterday; Machines idle 3+ days and Breakdowns open; Approvals waiting; Needs attention.
Sections — up to six, in the order your role acts on them. A section appears only when it has something in it.
| Role | Sections, in order |
|---|---|
| Company Admin | Portfolio, Cash, Approvals waiting, Materials and procurement, Site yesterday, Safety and quality |
| Project Manager | Site yesterday, Approvals waiting, Materials and procurement, Portfolio, Cash, Safety and quality |
| Site Engineer | Site yesterday, Materials and procurement, Safety and quality, Approvals waiting |
| Store Keeper | Materials and procurement, Site yesterday, Approvals waiting |
| Accountant | Cash, Portfolio, Approvals waiting |
| Procurement Manager | Materials and procurement, Approvals waiting, Site yesterday |
| QS / Estimator | Approvals waiting, Materials and procurement, Site yesterday |
| Safety Officer, QA/QC Engineer | Safety and quality, Site yesterday |
The brief is built from what you can read. A Site Engineer's brief has no Portfolio or Cash section because the money was never in what it read — nothing is hidden after the fact. Two Project Managers on different jobs each get a brief about their own projects.

The same rules drive the Needs attention panel on your Dashboard. You see only the rules your role can act on.

Email it every morning
Only a Company Admin sees the Preferences tab, and its settings apply to the whole company.
- Open AI › Daily Briefing and click Preferences.
- Tick Run automatically (daily). Scheduled briefs are off until someone does this.
- Choose Send at (local hour) (07:00 by default), the Timezone (Asia/Kolkata by default), and whether to Include Sundays (on by default).
- Under Who receives it, tick the roles. Company Admin and Project Manager are ticked by default.
- Under Channels, keep Email ticked.
- Click Save settings. You see Saved.
Every active person in a ticked role who has verified their email gets their own brief, built from their own projects. The email's subject is your company name, the date and the headline; it carries the key figures, up to 15 attention items and the sections, each a link, plus Open today's brief. The same brief appears on each person's Today tab, marked as a scheduled brief.
In-app adds nothing extra today: the brief is on the Today tab whichever channel is ticked. Untick Email to stop the emails and keep the briefs. If email is not set up for your company, the briefs are still written but nothing is sent.
Tips
- Each brief uses credits, and a scheduled brief is written for every recipient, every day. Ten recipients means ten briefs a morning — tick only the roles that read it.
- If the AI is busy, the brief still arrives with the numbers and a plain summary.
- The brief covers active projects only — awarded, mobilising, in progress, on hold, substantially complete or in DLP.
