Where time and money are being lost on one project: gangs producing less than your norms, machines standing idle, plant that keeps breaking down.

What it readsโ€‹

The report is exactly as deep as your access:

PartReadsNeeds
Man-days by tradeThe muster for the last N full days (to yesterday)Labour access
Wage costThe muster registerLabour rates
Output against normsThe contract BOQ's executed quantities, each line's rate-analysis labour coefficients, and attendance to dateLabour rates, BOQ rates and rate analysis
Plant utilisationEquipment logs โ€” used, idle and breakdown hours (28 days back for breakdowns)Equipment access
Idle costEach machine's hire rateProject cost access

A part you cannot see is left out with a sentence saying why โ€” "Not derivable: โ€ฆ" โ€” never estimated. A Site Engineer, for example, gets man-days and plant, without money or the norm comparison.

What you getโ€‹

  • Key figures: Man-days for the period, Machines with repeated breakdowns, Plant utilisation, Output vs norm (to date), Plant idle cost.
  • Man-days by trade, with wage cost where you can see it.
  • Output vs rate-analysis norms, to date โ€” Trade, Earned man-days, Actual man-days, Output vs norm, Status.
  • Norm output per man-day, by BOQ item.
  • Plant utilisation โ€” Machine, Used h, Idle h, Breakdown h, Utilisation, Breakdown days (28d), and Idle cost where you can see it.
  • Suggestions โ€” nothing is changed.

The rules

FigureRule
Earned man-daysExecuted quantity ร— the analysis's labour coefficient (man-days per unit, hours รท 8, wastage included)
Output vs normEarned รท actual man-days ร— 100. Below 80% is below norm (high under 60%, else medium); 80โ€“120% at norm; above 120% above norm โ€” check the coefficients are not generous
TradeA labour line counts for a trade only when it names exactly one โ€” mason or mistri, bar bender, carpenter, helper or mazdoor, electrician, plumber, painter, welder, driver, supervisor or foreman. "Mason and helper" counts only in the overall row.
UtilisationUsed รท (used + idle). Breakdown hours are kept apart โ€” a broken machine is not an idle one
Low utilisationUnder 60% โ€” low alert, "release it or move it to a busier front"
Repeated breakdownBroke down on 2 separate days in 28 โ€” medium; 3 or more โ€” high
Idle costIdle hours ร— hourly rate (a daily rate รท 8, a monthly rate รท 208)

Run itโ€‹

  1. In the sidebar, open Workspaces โ€บ Workforce and click Labour & Plant Productivity under AI agents.
  2. Choose the Project.
  3. Set Days to look back (7 by default, up to 31).
  4. Click Run agent.

Run it every weekโ€‹

It can run itself every Monday at 07:00 โ€” off until your Company Admin switches it on in its Schedule & delivery panel. Each Company Admin and Project Manager then gets a run covering their active projects. The admin can change Days and Low utilisation pct there.

Safeguardsโ€‹

  • Suggestions only. It creates nothing and changes nothing.
  • It never shows a rupee figure you could not read on the equipment or labour screens.
Why output can read low

Executed quantity moves when work is measured on an RA bill, so the norm comparison runs to date, not for the week โ€” and work done but not yet measured shows as low output. A trade with measured work but no attendance usually means that gang is on a subcontractor's muster.

Tipsโ€‹

  • Name trades in your rate-analysis labour lines ("Mason", "Bar bender") so output can be split by trade.
  • Log idle and breakdown hours separately in the plant log.
  • Compare a below-norm trade with the work fronts available before blaming the gang.
  • Labour โ€” the muster roll and wage register.
  • Equipment โ€” plant logs, hire rates and breakdowns.
  • Rate analysis โ€” the labour norms it measures against.
  • DPR Summariser โ€” crew strength and idle plant from the DPRs.
