Stores
Open central and site stores, see what each one holds and what can actually be issued, and — if your role allows — what that stock is worth.
A store (warehouse) is any place stock sits. Material can only be received into a store and only issued out of one, so every project that takes deliveries needs at least one.

Kinds of store
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Site store | Belongs to one project. When a material request is approved, only the project's own site stores are counted as "from stock" |
| Central store | Serves the whole company. Any project can receive into it and issue from it |
| Transit | For material on its way between stores |
| Scrap | For scrap you keep track of |
A project can use its own site stores and any central store — never another project's site store, because that job's material and cost would land on the wrong project.
Transit and scrap stores can be opened, but nothing in the app moves stock into them on its own; transfers between stores are not in the app yet.
Open a store
Only the Company Admin opens and edits stores.
- Open Stores from the sidebar and click Stock on Hand (or Warehouses).
- Click New warehouse.
- Enter a Code (unique in the company) and a Name.
- Choose the Kind. For a site store, choose the Project it belongs to.
- Add the Address and Notes if useful.
- Click Create warehouse.
The code and the kind are fixed once the store is created.
To open a site store from inside a project instead, go to the project's Materials tab and click New site store — or Create a site store if the project has none yet. Enter a Code such as SITE-TWR-B, a Name and an Address, and click Create site store.
Close a store
- On the Stores page, click the store's row.
- Untick Open — untick to close the store (it then refuses every movement).
- Click Save changes.
A closed store keeps its history and shows as closed in the list, but takes no receipts, issues or adjustments. Issue or write off what is left in it before you close it.
Read stock on hand
The Stock on hand table lists every material in every store. Use All warehouses to pick one store, and the In stock only / Including nil button to show or hide materials that have run out.
| Column | Means |
|---|---|
| On hand | What the store holds |
| Reserved | Set aside for a specific use |
| In transit | On its way between stores |
| Available | On hand − Reserved: what can actually be issued |
| Avg rate | The store's weighted-average cost for that material |
| Value | On hand × Avg rate |
Nothing in the app reserves stock or moves it in transit yet, so Reserved and In transit read zero and Available equals On hand.
The figures at the top count open Warehouses, Lines in stock, Reserved lines and, for roles that can see it, total Stock value. Movements opens the full movement register.
Stock on one project
A project's Materials tab shows only that project's site stores: Site stores, Lines held, Value on site and Issued to works at the top, then a Stock on site table and the Movements on this project list. Issues to this project from a central store appear in the movement list too. The buttons to issue, return and adjust stock are here — see Stock movements.
Who sees the value
The Avg rate and Value columns, and the money figures at the top, show only to the Project Manager, Accountant and Company Admin. Everyone else who can open Stores — Site Engineer, Store Keeper, QS / Estimator, Procurement Manager — sees quantities only, and the value columns do not appear.
Stock can never go negative. An issue or write-off for more than is available is refused with a message that starts with the quantity available and says "Negative stock is prohibited". If the material is physically there, the receipt that brought it in has not been posted — post the receipt first, then the issue. Allowing negative stock would make every valuation meaningless.
