Site tasks
Keep a quick to-do list for the site โ add a task with a due date and priority, move it through to done, and mark it blocked with the reason it is waiting.
Site tasks are the small jobs that do not belong in the programme: clear the debris off the 7th floor slab, get the curing team on the columns, chase the shuttering contractor. They sit on the Site tab next to the DPR.

Add a taskโ
- Open the project and go to the Site tab.
- Click Tasks at the top right.
- In Quick add, type the Task โ a short, clear instruction.
- Set Due if it has a deadline.
- Pick a Priority: low, medium, high or urgent.
- Tick Assign to me if it is yours.
- Click Add task.
The task starts as Todo. Urgent tasks show in red and high in amber.
Quick add can only assign a task to you. To give a task to another team member, ask the Assistant โ for example "add a task for Ravi to fix the hoist gate by Friday". It drafts the task with that person, due date and priority, and nothing is created until you confirm it in Drafts to review.
Move a task alongโ
Each row has a status drop-down. Change it and the task moves at once.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Todo | Not started |
| In progress | Someone is on it |
| Blocked | Waiting on something. The reason shows under the task title |
| Done | Finished. The title is struck through |
| Cancelled | No longer needed |
You can move a task from any status to any other โ reopening a done task after a snag walk is normal.
Block a taskโ
- Choose Blocked in the task's status drop-down.
- The app asks What is it waiting for? Type the reason โ "Waiting for shuttering material", "Client to confirm tile shade".
- Confirm. The reason shows under the task as Blocked: โฆ.
A task cannot be blocked without a reason; cancel the question and nothing changes. When the task leaves Blocked, the reason is cleared.
Find your tasksโ
Three ticks sit above the list:
- Mine โ only tasks assigned to you.
- Overdue โ open tasks whose due date has passed.
- Show closed โ also list done and cancelled tasks (hidden by default).
A task is overdue when its due date is before today and it is still Todo, In progress or Blocked. Overdue dates show in red with ยท overdue, and a red count sits in the panel heading. The Assignee column shows you, assigned (someone else) or a dash.
Who can do whatโ
| You are | You can |
|---|---|
| Site Engineer, Project Manager, Safety Officer, QA/QC Engineer, Company Admin | Add tasks and change the status of any task |
| Anyone a task is assigned to | Change the status of that task |
| QS / Estimator | See the list |
The task list lives on the Site tab, which needs DPR access to open. Store Keepers and Procurement Managers cannot open that tab, so they do not see tasks there even when one is assigned to them.
What the screen does not doโ
The task list is deliberately quick. The screen does not edit a task's title, due date or priority after it is created, does not add a description or location, and does not delete a task โ set it to Cancelled instead. Add a fresh task if the details change.
Tipsโ
- Write tasks as instructions with a place in them: "Clear debris, 7th floor slab", not "Debris".
- Give every task a due date. Without one it can never show as overdue.
- Look at Overdue before you file the DPR, and mention anything blocked under Issues faced.
Schedule & Delay Risk reads overdue and blocked tasks along with the programme, and lists the ones to chase.
